Description
The black Pontiac Trans Am became well known on the TV show Knight Rider, and the car was affectionately called K.I.T.T., which stood for Knight Industries Two Thousand. This replica vehicle is owned by Christoper Palmer and is shown here at the Eyes on Design fundraising car event held every Father's Day at the Eleanor and Edsel Ford Estate in Grosse Ponite Shores, Michigan. Eyes on Design is a benefit for Henry Ford Health System's Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology and the event helps provide funding for the DIO's research, education and support of group programs for the for the visually impaired. Vehicles for Eyes on Design are chosen based on the year’s theme by invitation only.
