Description
A Cedar Waxwing rests on a branch in Boyne Falls, Michigan. Cedar Waxwings are a nomadic bird that travels in flocks in search of wild berries. They break up in pairs for nesting during midsummer but otherwise remain in groups. Their name is derived from the red wax-like wing tips as well as their preferred diet of the small blueberry like cones of the Cedar. It is most commonly located near the tops of tall trees.
