Description
The Parrott Rifle was named for its designer, Robert Parker Parrott. The Parrott Rifle was one of a group of five experimental rifles made for the Union Army in 1864. This is believed to be the only one remaining in existence and was placed on the Island Park in Eaton Rapids, Michigan in 1910 by the James B. Brannerd Post of the Grand Army of the Republic.
